Dmitry's Bio
Dmitry Arshansky, an independent financial advisor based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, took an interesting path into the wealth management business. Dmitry has always been fascinated with financial markets and investments. So much so, that in 2001, after a successful 15-year career as an engineer, he left Ford Motor Company and on his own ventured into the volatile world of commodities trading and investment management. For three years, Dmitry traded futures and options, and managed his own portfolio of investments, navigating through some of the most tumultuous times in market history.
That experience taught him a valuable lesson that proper diversification and focus on risk control are crucial to managing wealth. He took that lesson with him when, in 2004, he joined UBS Financial Services Inc., where he was advising clients on various aspects of their investments, helping them manage their portfolios, plan for retirement, save for college, and pursue other goals.
In 2009, Dmitry moved his wealth management business to LPL Financial, the largest independent broker-dealer in the country* with a reputation for impartial and objective financial advice, no affiliation with investment banks, and no proprietary financial products. Today Dmitry continues to provide wealth management advisory services to individuals, families, business owners and retirees, emphasizing a personalized, friendly and flexible approach to investments and financial planning. Risk management and proper diversification remain at the core of Dmitry's approach to his clients' investment portfolios. His guiding principle has always been to treat his clients' money as if it were his own.
Dmitry earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the state of Michigan, and holds FINRA Series 3, 7, 30 and 66 registrations with LPL Financial. Dmitry is also licensed to offer Life, Health, Disability and Long-Term Care insurance in the state of Michigan.
